Question about the delete what it wants option

I downloaded this app and was transferring my email over and it asked me if I gave permission to basically do what it wanted with my email.
Has anybody experienced having old emails delete it or think that they didnt want deleted?
Also when it delete something it says permanently, does that mean I dont have the option to even see what it delete it in the trash or anything?
I am not interested in an app that decides for me what is important and not important, what I should be allowed to see or get rid of.
if this is the case Im not interested, but it looks very appealing if thats not the case.
